Dolphin Encounter

Get nose to nose with a dolphin! This unique interactive program puts you waist-deep in the water with Pacific bottlenose dolphins. You must be at least 4 foot, 5 inches to participate. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Begin with an informative introduction session with dolphin trainers who will help you understand the dolphins' anatomy, physiology, natural history, and fascinating underwater communication skills. Then it's time to enter the water! In the specially designed educational pools, you'll have the opportunity to examine the dolphin's physical characteristics while rubbing and petting its smooth skin. The trainers will demonstrate several signals and show how to feed them. You'll get a chance to try for yourself; the dolphins will shake your hand and give you a friendly kiss!

Note:
Reservation confirmation is required. You will not be guaranteed a place on the Dolphin Encounter without contacting Vallarta Adventures as far in advance of the day you wish to take the tour as possible. Bring a towel and swimwear. You will need to remove all jewelry before entering the pool. A shower is required just prior to remove all lotions and creams before entering the pool. Cameras are not allowed in the water, but pictures may be taken from the side of the pool. Souvenir photos of your "dolphin kiss" are available for purchase. Family and friends may watch for free!

After you book your activity, follow these 3 easy steps:
1. Print your voucher; locate the voucher in your travel confirmation e-mail or in the My Trips/My Itineraries link on the site.
2. Follow the redemption instructions on your voucher; it is critical to do this before you depart.
3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.

Exchange your voucher for activity:
Reservation confirmation is required. You will not be guaranteed a place on the Dolphin Encounter without contacting Vallarta Adventures as far in advance of the day you wish to participate as possible. You may e-mail or call Vallarta Adventures to set up a tour date; the e-mail address and customer service phone number will be on your printed voucher(s). Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Present your voucher(s) and photo identification upon arrival at the Dolphin Adventure in Nuevo Vallarta.
